Context

Methods Used

A 10-week randomized, placebo-controlled study was conducted with 100 participants (men and women, aged 25–50) who consume moderate amounts of alcohol (up to 14 drinks per week). The participants were divided into two groups: one group took 300 mg of Ashwagandha root extract daily alongside alcohol consumption, and the other group received a placebo. The study measured stress levels, liver function, and overall well-being at baseline, 5 weeks, and 10 weeks.
