How We’ve Made Our Packaging More Sustainable
You’ll already have noticed that here at DailyNutra we take transparency seriously. It’s important to us that you know the care we take into how we package our supplements, with your and the planet’s health always at the forefront of every decision.
Our Pure PET Bottle
We have a ton of feedback about how attractive our bottles are, and while we wholeheartedly agree, in this case, beauty definitely isn’t just skin deep!
Here is what makes our bottles a step above the rest.
1. We only use the best recyclable materials
Our bottles are made entirely of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plastic, making them the purest and most recyclable plastic bottles available.
What exactly is PET? This inert plastic is resistant to attack by micro-organisms and has been used safely for many years, having undergone rigorous testing under the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) guidelines to ensure its safety as a food and beverage container suitable for storage and reuse.
This strong, shatterproof, rigid material is ideal housing for our products, and the amber color is ideal for keeping harmful UV rays from damaging the potency of the herbal extracts.
On top of that, PET has lower moisture and air permeability than the typical white HDPE bottles used by most supplement companies, further protecting the supplements.
And while PET bottles cost more than HDPE plastic bottles, we’re sure you’ll agree the quality is well worth the cost!
2. We avoid glass
We reduce our carbon footprint and shipping costs by avoiding glass. Glass is significantly heavier than plastic and there are more fossil fuels involved to move it.
On top of that, glass is more breakable and requires the use of wasteful bubble wrap.
3. We pack efficiently
We pack our bottles more efficiently by filling them as full as possible. By using smaller, more compact bottles we are able to ship more per box and per pallet, which leads to less shipping volume.
All of these small changes lead to major carbon emission reductions and a fresher product with less oxidation.
Our Sustainable Paper Box
We use Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified paper for our recyclable boxes, which are made entirely from trees that can be fully traced back to the farms where they were grown.
The FSC is in place to promote sustainable forest management, and all the trees harvested benefit local communities by being grown in ecologically and ethically sound ways.
